Today I read an
article about the Indian Cuisine. It states that the Indian cuisine is made up of spices and vegetables grown in or from India. Many parts of India are Vegetarians. Indian cuisine varies from region to region because it is made up of various techniques so everyone puts their own spin on it. India's culture and beliefs play a large role in their cuisine because of their strict vegetarian diet and foods that their gods would not eat including the sacred cow. Many people reference curry to India and that is true because many Indian's use curry in their cooking as a spice but India is not the only country using it. Through trade, India spread curry all over Europe and is used widely across the world and now in many other cuisines. The main elements of their cuisine are rice, red lentil, and dal. They use many oils including coconut, sunflower, mustard, and soybean oil. Due to trade and a growing population, Indian cuisine is widely spread among to population of North America and Europe.
